Four Myths about Psychics

four-myths-about-psychicsThere are many myths surrounding psychics, but that’s simply because many of us don’t know the facts about this special profession. So, if you’re on the fence or confused about psychics, let’s look at four myths and why they’re false.

Psychics are Naturally Psychic

Psychics aren’t like geniuses in the world of spirituality, the way Mozart or Beethoven were geniuses in classical music. Instead, psychics train and learn, just like you and I. And like any other professional, psychics are regular people who have to practice and hone in their skills. For them, that means learning to tune into their intuition and to communicate with the spiritual realm.

Psychics Can Read Your Mind

Psychics are actually energetic and emotional readers. So, they raise their own energetic vibrations in order to connect with both your personal energy and the energies from visiting spirits or spirit guides. And even though they can read energy and emotions, it’s up to you to be open to their readings. A psychic will never force their way into your mind, and you can think of it as an opportunity to receive special guidance from the spiritual realm.

Psychics Know Everything

Psychics are definitely not omniscient like God. They’re actually limited people who can make mistakes, too. But they can certainly help us understand things about ourselves because they’re more attuned to their intuition than we are. Whereas we might be too distracted to hear the messages from the spiritual world, psychics practice listening and can share these messages with you during a reading.

Psychics Predict and Control Your Future

There are so many factors that shape and guide every decision we make, and it would be impossible for a psychic to predict all of them! And yes, while psychics might have more practice listening to their intuition, they would never want to control you with it.

Instead, they want to help you hear your own intuition better. Psychics are like compassionate channels for the spirits and divine beings who want to communicate with you. Psychics help them communicate with you by transmitting the insight and advice they hear. It’s not a way to control your future; it’s a way to help you in the present moment.

As you can see, psychics have so much to offer us, and it’s worth learning more about these special people who can really help us on our earthly paths.

Throat Chakra

Keeping honest with others or yourself will keep the throat chakra clear. Keeping a journal is a great way to express the true way you think and feel about the world around you, and is highly recommended.

Third Eye Chakra

This is where your clarity resides. Spend some time meditating regularly to keep your head focused and open to receiving new wisdom.

Best Tarot Cards for Love and Relationship

best-tarot-cards-for-love-relationshipsRelationships make up a fundamental part of who and what we are in relation to ourselves and the world around us.  Whether you are single or in a relationship, the power of the Tarot can help you discover or enhance aspects of your love life that you might not be consciously aware of.

There is nothing in this world that compares to the power of human relationships to provide love and  joy, or pain and suffering.   On an instinctual level we all seek love and avoid pain, but in relationships sometimes the lines can cross due to misunderstanding or  incompatibility.

When it comes to relationships, we all have different needs and preferences, and a one size fits all approach doesn’t always work.  Mainstream relationship advice mostly takes a psychological approach  and doesn’t always work as it rarely factors in the individuality of the human spirit.  The Tarot, on the other hand, is a powerful tool for discovering the unique forces that are currently enhancing or detracting from our own love and happiness.

Love, Happiness and the Tarot
Love, it’s a beautiful thing and we can never get enough of it.  Luckily, the Tarot can provide us with a road map for understanding and unlock the deeper patterns that are influencing our love and connection to others.

As you are probably already aware, in a tarot spread you can have both positive and negative cards or orientations.   In actuality, even the negative cards may not really be negative at all; as they may just tell us that we need to be more open and understanding, or that we may have gone astray on our road to happiness.

When it comes to Love, there are certain tarot cards that can give us insight into our present, past and future relationships.

Top 10 Tarot Cards for Love and Relationships
Our first 4 cards are the LOVE cards of the Major Arcana.  The Major Arcana (also known as trump cards) is comprised of 22 cards that form the foundation of the Tarot deck and symbolize the energies and karmic influences that impact the human condition.

The Lovers
The Lovers  is probably the most famous card when it comes to love. When this card appears in a spread it usually means that LOVE is moving to center stage in either a new relationship or a powerful re-bonding of an old one. This card can also represent a potential fork in the road; where you may be feeling ambivalent about a relationship or other issue in your life.

The Empress
The Empress is a symbol of unconditional love, completion, fertility, and union; all aspects that can be positive when it comes to love and relationships. Her presence also symbolizes mother earth, sensuality, and free thinking.   The Empress can also refer to birth, fertility, and pregnancy.

The Sun
The Sun is also one of the major tarot cards for love.  Traditionally, it represents success and achievement, and it also symbolizes psychic unity, where the unconscious and conscious are in harmony and acceptance.  The Sun card serves as a reminder to always be your true self and to let go to happiness, joy, and self-expression.   It can also signify marriage, children, and prosperity.

The World
Our 4th major arcana card for love is the World and it represents completion and reward in  love and relationships.  The World also represents growth, success, enlightenment, travel and new beginnings.

The next four cards are all Cups.  The suit of Cups is also referred to as Chalices or Hearts and they represent emotions, imagination and represent matters of the heart.

Ace Cups
For those that are single, the Ace of Cups is the main card that can signify the new beginnings of a love relationship. This is the card of emotional rebirth, and it also represents the spiritual aspects of love and commitment.  For an existing relationship, the Ace of cups can signify a deeper level of understanding or commitment.

Two of Cups
This card represents true love, mutual attraction, balanced partnership and commitment; all of the things that people normally look for in  love and relationships. The Two of Cups can signify a new relationship, or if you are in a relationship it can signify a proposal or new level of commitment. It can also mean a need for negotiation and cooperation with others.

Ten of  Cups
The Ten of Cups represents harmony and unity in relationships and with family. It is also a card that represents, emotional happiness and prosperity.  If you are in a relationship, then this card can represent  commitment; and if you are not in a relationship, then a “sweep you off your feet” relationship may be on the way.

Knight of Cups
As mentioned earlier the suit of cups is about love and relationships, and the Knight of Cups can mean your “Knight in shining armor” has arrived or is on the way.  The Knight of Cups can be seen as the ultimate romantic that is also highly creative and guided by his emotions.

Our final two cards in our top ten list are the Four of Wands and the Ten of Pentacles

Four of Wands
If you are in a relationship, this card can signify an additional commitment together  or possibly even marriage.  It represents completion, a new beginning or a right of passage and is a cause for celebration.  If you are single then the Four of Wands can signify that it is time to expand your social life and to start celebrating life around you.

Ten of Pentacles
When it comes to enjoying the fruits of the material world, the Ten of Pentacles is an all around great card and signifies that your life is probably going well with your relationships, your finances and with your health.  When it comes to relationships, this is a card that represents fulfillment and can signify moving to the next level, living together engagement or marriage.

Clearing Blocks and Staying Balanced

We all go through days when everything feels gloomy and depressing. Even simply getting out of bed seems like the clearing-blocks-and-staying-balancedtoughest chore in the world. You might have thought you are just being lazy but the truth is that laziness itself is a symptom of accumulated negative energy.

We must, therefore, have rituals for regularly clearing negative energy from our aura and our lives. Here are a few ideas that you can incorporate into your life:

Daily Meditation or Prayer
The 45 minutes before you go to sleep and the 45 minutes after you wake up in the morning are the two most important phases of your day. They not only set the tone for how your day will pass but also for what the next day will be like. If you wake up and go to sleep with negativity in your mind, then your days are bound to be riddled with negative situations. It is, therefore, absolutely mandatory that you establish morning and bedtime rituals for yourself and try to stick to them through thick or thin.

Mornings: It is advisable to wake up early in order to give a perfect and peaceful start to your day. Freshen up and hydrate yourself by drinking water. Thereafter, do some kind of a spiritual practice that you truly enjoy. It could be anything from meditation to prayer, or chanting, or maybe, even writing down affirmations. In order to choose the right practice for yourself focus on how you feel about it. If it makes you happy and fills your heart with joy, then you have found the right practice for yourself. Also, give yourself time to enjoy a hearty breakfast. Don’t eat in a hurry, and definitely not on the run. Make your entire morning an exercise in tranquility and mindfulness. This will set the tone for the rest of the day and you will be more present in everything you do.

Bedtime routine: Try to stay away from all electronic gadgets as much as possible. Take the time to truly relax by doing something that feels good to you. I personally feel that there can’t be a more decadent bedtime ritual than the luxury of taking a nice warm bath with scented candles and soothing music in the background.

To end the day on an ideal note, do your spiritual practice again. Go to bed with gratitude in your heart, looking forward to the next day. Affirm to yourself that tomorrow will be another beautiful and magical day. You will be surprised by how your days will suddenly start becoming more magical and beautiful.

Special Rituals/Meditations for Clearing Blockages

Salt Water Bath
Salt is said to absorb negative energy. Adding salt to your bath water and then soaking in it for a while is one of the most effective methods for removing any negative energy from your aura.

You can also place regular salt or salt crystals in small bowls around your house to remove negative energy from your environment.

Non-forgiveness is the root causes of all suffering. Let go of the past and embrace the possibility of tomorrow by fully forgiving everyone who you believe has wronged you. You must understand that forgiveness is not something you do for others. Instead, it is a gift you give yourself. By forgiving others, you are setting yourself free from the anger and toxicity that is holding your happiness hostage. You don’t even need to tell the other person that you have forgiven them – releasing them and the memory of their wrong actions from your subconscious is what truly matters.

Practice this affirmation every day: I forgive myself for everything, I love myself unconditionally. I forgive everyone whom I believe has wronged me, I love everyone unconditionally.

It will likely not be easy saying this affirmation to yourself at the beginning but you must persist. Keep saying it to yourself until it begins to start feeling like the truth. Notice what emotions are coming up but don’t get attached to them. Witness them like an observer. Soon all negative emotions will dissolve and become replaced by a profound sense of inner peace.

Love is what makes the world go around. Believe it or not, the most important kind of love is self-love. You must love yourself unconditionally. Is that selfish? Think about this, how can you ever give something to anyone else if you don’t have it for yourself?

Also, self-love does not mean egoism – it means having a healthy relationship with yourself. It implies living with dignity and self-respect. Give yourself love by taking out time for yourself to enjoy the things you like doing. Take good care of yourself – nurture your mind and nourish your body with good books and great food. Embrace your beauty by keeping yourself well-groomed and nicely dressed at all times. Don’t wait for someone else to make you feel special, become the most special person in the world for yourself.

If you’ll observe your thoughts carefully, you’ll start to realize that most of your worries and fears are not related to the present moment. More often than not, you are either embroiled in memories of the past or frozen with fear in anticipation of the future. Simply bringing yourself to the present moment will clear the negative energy that has accumulated in your consciousness. Of course, it will take practice to master the art of mindfulness. What matters is to become more observant of your thoughts and feelings with regards to the present moment. Don’t analyze what comes up, and definitely, don’t attach yourself to the memories and emotions it brings up.

As simple as these practices sound, following them religiously will completely transform your life. Miracles are created by a shift in consciousness. Once you change the reality in your mind, the world around you changes. Embrace yourself fully and let your senses drown in the sweet intoxication of unconditional love – your life will start to fully blossom with positivity.

Three Tarot Cards to Increase Your Inner Knowing

Do you ever feel overwhelmed by confusion or uncertainty? You probably want to find some clear answers, but with all the helpful tools out there, it can be tricky deciding which way to go. So, the next time you need a little more clarity in your life, try a tarot reading.  It’s a wonderful practice, and from among the 78 cards, there are three specific cards that can help you discover your own, inner knowing without getting lost in the shuffle.

The Moon
The Moon is a source of light, but unlike the sun, its dim light doesn’t dispel the darkness; it illuminates it instead. The moon represents the shadow self, where we repress our shortcomings and insecurities, and the moon invites us to explore our shadow self, which may be responsible for our confusion and uncertainty.

This tarot card also represents the fear and anxiety that we cast onto our past, present or future experiences. And even though we prefer to play it safe, sometimes we do need to move forward, even if we don’t know where we’re going, right? This is where the moon encourages us to follow our inner light and intuition, which leads us in the right direction. Just like a moonlit path – you can see the path, but you can’t see all of it. And that’s okay.

The Moon card usually depicts a deep pool of water, representing the still subconscious. And just as the moon acts upon the still seas by pulling in the tide, the moon can help you stir up the subconscious and shed light upon it, too.

The High Priestess
The High Priestess is a wonderful tarot card, not only because she’s associated with the moon, but also because she represents many of the things we need during our search for clarity and inner knowing: wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and serenity.

Like the moon, she is often pictured with water, which symbolizes vast subconscious, and you can think of the High Priestess as the gateway between the conscious and the subconscious mind. She reminds us that you can bridge the wide gap between unknowing and knowing.

The High Priestess is like the mediator between the darkness and the light; she represents the confidence and assurance it takes to trust and rely on yourself.  Your dreams and intuition are relevant and important, and you can listen to the wisdom they contain.

The Hermit
This last tarot card depicts a quiet Hermit, who withdraws from the distractions of the world. It isn’t that the world is bad, it’s just very busy, and it can prevent us from interpreting our experiences with a clear mind.

As he turns his consciousness inward, he invites us to do the same and to find our own quietude.  This card reminds us that we can find the truth deep within, but in order to do so, we have to welcome solitude and introspection. This soul-searching allows us to discover the truth about life, personal relationships, and any other situation.

In order to find this clarity, the Hermit invites us to meditate, contemplate, and examine ourselves. We often fear solitude, but we’re reminded that it’s okay to be alone; it gives us the much-needed space to hear our inner wisdom and to let it illuminate our consciousness. It’s how we can discover and create our own inner light, which will guide us throughout life.

So, when you receive one of these cards in your tarot reading remember it can be a wonderful tool to guide you in your search for more inner knowing and clarity.
